1995-1997 Lotus Esprit

Legendary British car maker Lotus actually first used the basket handle type wing on an earlier version of their Esprit, the Sport 300. The wings were then used on later V8 powered cars.

The Esprit was originally designed by Giorgetto Guigiaro, but by the 4th generation, was redesigned by Peter Stevens (who went on to design the iconic McLaren F1).

Like later model Lotus, the Esprit is a small car, and early models were powered by inline 4 cylinder engines. Later, as more power was expected, they moved to turbochargers, then finally V8s.
