1999 Acura NSX Alex Zanardi edition
This "Turn of the Century" series was proceeding along in alphabetical fashion, until we got to the "H" category and had to give Honda props for creating the Acura division... and then give Acura its due for releasing the iconic NSX. And in 1999, Acura released a U.S.- only, limited edition model in honor of racer Alex Zanardi, who had won back-to-back championships driving for Honda/Acura in the CART Champ Car series with Chip Ganassi Racing.

The Alex Zanardi edition were only available in Formula Red, to match the color of the racecar Zanardi drove. The car was lighter than the standard NSX, due to the fixed roof (as opposed to the removable targa roof), lighter alloy wheels and other items, and manual steering in place of the electric assisted steering. Only 51 units were produced.
The gorgeous, evergreen lines of the NSX must be credited to Chief Designer, Masahito Nakano, and Executive Chief Engineer, Shigeru Uehara
