1999 Jaguar XKR

Jaguar launched the XK8 as a replacement to the venerable XJ-S, but more than that, the new XK was a clear throwback to the good old days of the truly wonderful E-Type coupe and roadster. But just to show everyone they were still serious about performance, Jaguar bolted an Eaton supercharger on top of the 4 liter DOHC V8 in the XK8 to produce the wicked XKR, bumping the output from 290 to 375 horsepower.

The XK series was designed by Jaguar's Design Director Geoff Lawson, who unfortunately passed away in 1999. He penned a lovely car indeed.
