Apologies all around for our extended absence. Life is something, isn't it? Frankly, it's hard to believe 2 months have passed since our last post, that you know what they say about time, so no need to repeat it here.

We'll wrap up our look at dashboards with this glance at the instrument panel inside one of the world's quickest production cars, the Tesla Model S. Much has been written about the unique Tesla interior and its complete lack of knobs, buttons and levers that other cars sport. Just about everything is controlled by the 17" touchscreen display in the center stack. The Model S (and the Model X) also have a 12.3" LCD display behind the steering wheel that shows the most critical driving information: current speed, current charge, gear selection, etc. The dashboard display is not as user-configurable at the one found in the Cadillac CTS-V, but the Cadillac doesn't have the huge center screen of the Tesla.

Here's a great look at the big screen and how it dominates the Model S interior. Recent software updates let many of the applications, such as the navigation maps, fill the entire screen if the driver desires.
